Our amazing Student Partners have run hackathons on their campuses in which they've trained their fellow students on Android and Intel architecture; as well as helping to organize and participate in events such as the Intel Inter-University Apps Challenge, the Internet of Things Challenge, and Code for Good. In addition, our Student Partners have stood out as exemplary performers. Some have gone on to win regional tech competitions such as the Ampion Bus Challenge, while others have been awarded prestigious scholarships to study abroad.

App Review {Track Your Shares}

Hey guys! I trust you are doing well. I am just trying to keep up with all that's on my plate but hopefully because of the recent boycott by lecturers in campus, I may be able to get all my work done. However, this is bitter sweet because it only means more workload when they get back and a longer semester! Aaargh, you just can't win with this!

Hehe, let me leave that discussion for now though and start on the main agenda of today's post. Whenever I come across something cool, I always take it upon myself to share it with my peeps (And in this case, that is you!) Some friends of mine, who also happen to be my classmates came up with a very awesome application. Which I will be telling you about in a few...

Does Making Android Applications Pay?

Sometime ago while I was chilling in a tech hub in Nairobi, I got connected to one of the fastest Wi-Fi signals that I had experienced in a long time. The first thing I thought to do was to download some new apps and to update some which were just lying there.

So there I was, at the Google play store! After a while of updating and refreshing my existing apps, I went on a downloading rampage in order to get some new ones that were bound to make my Android experience even livelier. I even went out on a limb to ask a few friends to give me suggestions on what I should get. What I knew for certain was that I was not in any way, shape or form going to buy an application. I was sticking to the free stuff! Trial version or not!

#OracleDay {Kenyan Edition 2013}

Top of the afternoon to all of you! Ok, I do not know if there is a greeting like that but I am just assuming because there exists a ‘top of the morning’ greeting…oh, well you get the drift hehe. So, how have you been? Good I hope. In my last post, I had mentioned something about telling you what went down on Friday, so here I am fulfilling my promises :)

For the longest time, IT or tech events have always been an opportunity for me and my pals to go and learn something more, network, explore opportunities and of course…eat! This has been the case for a little over a year now. From the hackathons held at hotels like the Boma Hotel, Red Court Hotel, PAWA254 and the iHub to the talks in Intercontinental Hotel, Sankara Hotel, Southern Sun Mayfair Hotel and also the famous Hilton Hotel. I have attended them all!
