Google Developer Group Kenyatta University Revamp {#gdgkurevamp}

Finally, the last day of January is here with us! Is it just me or did this month seem to have had like 9 weeks?? Boy oh boy, it feels as if we are already in March or something. Anyway, that aside…this month saw our first event of the year which was dubbed Google Developer Group Kenyatta University Revamp. It was organized by the GDG KU team which is currently being led by +margaret adhiambo  and +Mercy Orangi who is an alumnus of our university and also the former lead of this chapter. She is also the current co lead of GDG Nairobi. +njihia jeremy and I played our part in helping the event run smoothly GSAs.

Ok, I know some of you are probably wondering what this GDG I speak of is. I had mentioned something small about them in this post here.

Liquid Crystal Display Damaged!

A couple of weeks ago, I discovered something wrong with my baby. By baby, I mean my Samsam…my laptop. Don’t look at me like that!! Yeah, I named her…who doesn’t?  Ok, back to the something wrong. On the bottom right corner of the screen, there was a one inch (give or take) black line that was extending upwards.

This came as a shock to me. I have never treated her badly. In fact I over pampered her! She is almost one year old but I still protect her with the same cover that she came in when I purchased her. I always wipe every speck of dust on her (I can’t stand her looking like she doesn’t have a caring family. LOL)

Skirt Convert {D.I.Y}

Bonjour mes amies. Hehe, allow me to milk the little French I know for today at least. But just for the record, it ain’t as little as you might think. Oui! Je parlé Français, mais that is a story for another day. I am really excited about today’s post. The title might have already given it away, but if it hasn’t just stick around to find out why I am so enthusiastic about it!!

In my last post {see here}, I mentioned something to do sewing my own clothes. I told ya’ll that I was going to share what I was working on…right. Well, I am a man (read, woman or lady or person) of my word so here it is.

Hey guys!! How are ya’ll faring on? I hope you are fabulous. First post of 2014, who would have thought? And seeing that it is the beginning of the year, I thought I should share with you some of my new year’s resolutions :)

OK, I know some of you are not the biggest fans of resolutions but just hear mine out hehe. I always make some as every year starts even though I barely fulfill them all. I just think it’s a good thing to sorta set a goal of things you want to achieve because sometimes it is motivation for us to actually go out and do it.  Last year I had resolved to be a GSA, which did come to fruition yeey {see here}, to start wearing contacts {see here. PS, I got some new hazel ones for this year and my bff and I think they are just super gorgeous!!}, to buy a new phone {see here}, to start blogging {you are actually here hehe} among other personal things. I did fail at like a million other resolutions, but hey…better half a loaf!
