The Graphic
Designer internship role entails creating visual concepts, designing 2D and 3D events concepts. As an intern, you will be
required to work hand in hand with the events team, during the event design
phase to bring our creative, experiential and fresh event concepts to life.
The Graphic Designer
internship is suitable for candidates with a passion for art and graphic design
and want to hone their artistic skills by being part of a dynamic and
experienced events team.
Tasks will
include
- Managing client proposals from typesetting through to design
- Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required
- Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief
- Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size
- Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for illustrations, company catalogues, company stationery company logos, and websites
- Working with the events team, briefing and advising them with regard to design style, format, print production and timescales
- Attending the events theme design/ brainstorm meeting.
- Designing 3D event space concepts
- Designing 2D event space layouts
- Liaising with the branding agency to assist in the event theme/ style creation
- Meeting with the client and adjusts space designs to suit their needs and tastes
- Using computer software to execute latest designs e.g. Corel, Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup e.t.c
If you are the

- You should be creative.
- Previous work experience in a similar position / a professional degree/ certification is an added bonus.

Requirements
- 2nd-3rd year student pursuing a degree/ certification program in an art or graphic design course.
- An artistic portfolio of previous projects done.
- Experience in a corporate environment.
- KCSE results transcript.
- CV.
- Recommendation letter from either a professional/ educational referee.
- A cover letter telling us why you are ideal for the position of “Graphic Designer Intern”
Nature of
position: This position is
part time, and your official working hours will be determined by the timelines
of the event projects.
Remuneration: The remuneration will be communicated
during the face-to-face interview process.
